The JOY of Christmas {repost}

' "There are many who say, "Who will show us some good? Lift up the light of your face upon us, O LORD! You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound." Psalm 4:6-7
You can have more true joy than unbelievers can even imagine. They cling to false joy, which is gone in the morning and they are left with a bitter taste of emptiness.But we can have true joy! Joy and happiness come from a relationship with Jesus Christ and life with Him!The Christmas season can truly be the "most wonderful time of the year"- full of true joy!'-by Sophie LaFleur {you can find this post at http://www.accountabilityforum.blogspot.com/}

God is, yes, he is, in the process of giving us good, despite trials, despite the pain and the mess.  He is in the process of giving desparate, heart-wracking need for him.  This Christmas, may his light and joy abound in our hearts.  Where the foundations are a mess, let him bring his healing.  He may take away joy for this season, even, yes, in my life, but only so that I obey.  Joy only comes in obedience.  In the mess, let us rest in his love and feast on his goodness, never letting our glance turn aside to what does not satisfy.
